|Descripción:||Gibberellic and jasmonic acids and two plant growth regulators (2,4-dichlorophenoxy and naphthalene acetic acids) were evaluated in vitro to determine their effect on growth, differentiation, and mycotoxin synthesis in Aspergillus nidulans and A. parasiticus. Jasmonic acid 1mM had no effect on both fungal species. Gibberellic acid had a stimulatory effect on mycotoxin synthesis in the fungi. Growth factor 2,4-diclorophenoxiacetic acid had no effect in any of the evaluated parameters in A. nidulans. However, high concentrations of this compound decreased all the parameters in A. parasiticus. High concentration of naphthalene acetic acid decreased growth, sporulation, and sterigmatocystin in A. nidulans, while in A. parasiticus increased sporulation and decreased aflatoxin synthesis. These results indicate that plant growth regulators modify growth, differentiation, and mycotoxin synthesis.|
