| Descripción: | We establish a theorem on global well-posedness of an initial value problem associated to a generalized Boussinesq-type system, extending the results presented by Muñoz and Rivas in Muñoz (2008). The Hamiltonian structure of this system is described, and we further show that it has solitary wave solutions for a certain range of wave velocity by using the theory implemented in Toland (1986). |
